Who needs adopting?

At any one time in Doncaster there are approximately 20 children who are in need of an adoptive family. These children cannot, for a variety of reasons, live with their birth parents and need a permanent, supportive and loving home. Adoption is always a last resort and is decided by a judge based on the best interests of the child or children involved.

Children who need adopting come from a variety of backgrounds and have lots of different needs. Most importantly they need a family who can provide a loving, nurturing and safe environment where they are able to thrive and lead healthy, happy lives.

Through adoption you could provide a loving permanent home for a baby, toddler or young child. In Doncaster, we particularly need families who can help provide a happy childhood to young children, sibling groups and children with disabilities or complex needs.
